Recently, the Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education and the School entered into an agreement for the cooperative establishment of the Institute for Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange in the Rail Transit Industry.
The institute is an open platform integrating talent cultivation and training, academic research, decision-making consultation, technical service and cultural exchange, researches the Chinese-foreign cultural exchange in the rail transit industry in the research mode of “industry + country” to provide the scientific research services regarding basic research and application research for the high-quality development of the enterprises in the rail transit industry in China and provides the policy consultation, intelligence support and resource services for the “going out” and domestic development of the enterprises in the rail transit industry in the cultivation mode of “technology + culture”, promoting the people-to-people bond in the rail transit industry, and the sustainable development of the rail transit industry under the policy of “the Belt and Road” and making a contribution to the mutual political trust and economic and trade cooperation between China and the relevant countries.
The school has deeply plowed the preponderant disciplines in the rail transit industry for a long time and gathered the relatively strong scientific research force in the aspects of humanistic and social sciences and country and region researches by actively participating in the construction of the “the Belt and Road” recently. In the context of striving to push the implementation of the “Construction Plan of high-level Vocational Colleges & Specialties with Chinese Characteristics”, the institute was established to give a big push to the international exchange and cooperation of the school and increase the cultivation quality for the cultural quality and cultural exchange capability of the technical talents. The school will create the “excellent project” regarding international education cooperation, provide the cross-border education services, offer the “Chinese program” for the international vocational education, deepen the diversified exchange mechanism, construct a “community of shared interests” for the international transportation education, and bring the important role of the cultural exchange into full play in the vocational education reform and the implementation of the “Construction Plan of high-level Vocational Colleges & Specialties with Chinese Characteristics” by taking the opportunity of establishing the Institute for Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange in the Rail Transit Industry, relying on the policy, intelligence and talent advantages of the Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, adhering to the working concept of “bringing in, going out and new benchmark” of the rail transit major of the school and merging the excellent international resources.
The rail transit is an important support for the infrastructure connectivity under the “the Belt and Road” and the cultural exchange is an important part of the people-to-people bond under the “the Belt and Road” and a basis and pillar to promote the construction of a community with shared future for mankind. In recent years, that rail transit going abroad marks the historical conversion from “Wisdom in China” to “China Creation”. The demand for the win-win cooperation between two countries in the aspects of policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, monetary circulation and people-to-people bond is more and more prominent with the growing demand of the countries along the “the Belt and Road” for the rail transit construction. In the context, the establishment of the Institute for Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange in the Rail Transit Industry helps bring the basic and long-term role of cultural exchange into full play in the international economic and trade cooperation, promote the education industry to be open to the outside world and the enterprises to “go out” and accelerate the enterprises in the rail transit industry to deeply participate in the construction of the “the Belt and Road”.
