On November 27, the award ceremony for the Excellence Prize of the 2020 World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) was held in the sub-venue, namely Nanjing, China. In the ceremony, the 2020 Award List of Excellence Prize was announced. Our college won the bronze award of “Student Support Service” for the Excellence Prize of the 2020 World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics. It is the first time for the vocational education industry in Henan to win such a prize, filling the gap in the field and laying a firm foundation for further promoting the high-quality development of Henan vocational education. Dong Lisheng, the vice president of our college was present in the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of our college . The vice chairman of World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) - Shen Xuesong, the deputy secretary general of the China Education Association for International Exchange presented the award to our college.
Due to the epidemic outbreak, the award ceremony was held in the globally synchronous broadcasting mode, excluding the one in the sub-venue located in China. Craig Robertson, the rotating chairman of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics and the chief executive officer of TAFE in Australia chaired the award ceremony on line.

Founded in 1999, the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) has the members coming from more than 60 countries and regions as one of the largest and most influential multilateral organizations established for the global vocational education and application technology universities. A world meeting will be held once every two years, showing the latest achievements and development trends of different countries in the vocational technology education field, especially in the higher vocational technology education field and constructing a platform of information sharing, experience exchange and professional discussion among the countries.
The Excellence Prize of the 2020 World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics was established in 2014. The rating will take place every two years, aiming to commend the universities and colleges with outstanding vocational education achievements in the world. Since its establishment, 25 higher vocational colleges in China have won the prize. In this year, there are total eight types of awards of “Study and Employment Promotion”, “Application Research and Innovation”, “Innovation and Business Starting”, “Sustainable Development of Education”, “High Technology and Skill”, “Integration of Industry and Education”, “Leadership Development” and “Student Support Service”. Chinese vocational colleges totally win 14 awards, in which there are 29 awards in total, including 5 gold awards, 4 silver awards and 5 bronze awards, showing the comprehensive strength of Chinese vocational education to the world.
