On July 22, the 2019 China -ASEAN Education Cooperation Week was co-sponsored by and among the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Guizhou. Dong Lisheng, the vice president was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the activity and made a thematic speech in the annual meeting of the China - ASEAN Rail Transit Education and Training Association.
Dong Lisheng pointed out in the speech that the China high-speed railway took an important part in the global rail transit construction market, and the “China-Europe Railway Express” had become an important international logistics brand. As a vocational college, the school must closely follow the national strategy, cling to the actual situation of the industry, grip the development demand, optimize the discipline cultivation system, improve the talents cultivation quality and blaze a trail of high-quality vocational education development with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College actively explored the international talents cultivation standard preparation, overseas branch construction, external teacher training and international student cultivation and made fruitful achievements, and strongly cooperated with the Chinese enterprises to “go out”.
In the annual meeting, the representatives of CRRC Corporation Limited, China Railway Group Limited and China Railway Construction Co., Ltd. respectively introduced their international concepts, international talents cultivation and international strategic layouts and raised some comments and suggestion for the further integration of industry and education.
As led by Beijing Jiaotong University and the Rail Transit Committee of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, the “China - ASEAN Rail Transit Education and Training Association” was established in 2016, for which the school was one of the initiators. At present, 72 colleges and universities, research institutions and enterprises in the rail transit industry coming from China and the ASEAN countries have joined the Association.
