From July 17 to August 20, our college assigned 10 excellent students and 1 teacher coming from the College of Rolling Stock to form a “Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College urban rail vehicle intern team” and participate in the Mecca Light Rail Maintenance Internship Project in Saudi Arabia, which is a powerful measure of our college to assign its students to participate in the international light rail maintenance project, actively respond to the national policy and deepen the service initiative of “the Belt and Road”.
During the period of internship, the intern team completed the theoretical study and practical training in the aspects of the air-conditioning fault handling of urban rail vehicles, the emergency handling of pantograph failure and the braking system cognition and maintenance of urban rail vehicles, carried out a four-day analogue simulation in each station and participated in the Mecca light rail operation. All the team members practiced the school motto of “morality upholding and learning and practice combination”, and adhered to the education concept of our college to cultivate the craftsman talents developing comprehensively at the attitudes of keeping improvement and concentration. They did not forget the original intention of the internship and kept the mission of youth, expressing the good, high-spirited and down-to-earth quality of the students coming from Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College and manifesting the vigor and vitality of the Chinese youths in the new age to the employer. The good style of our team members to bear hardships and responsibility was praised by the employer.
Our college and the Mecca enterprises in Saudi Arabia jointly implemented the teaching with the combination of learning with working, formulated and perfected the talents cultivation program, accurately grasped the local vocational education and training demand, optimized Mecca Rail Transit College and Mecca practical training base in Saudi Arabia, and served the local economic and social development better. The continuous development of the international cooperation in education not only revealed the attitude of our college for active opening-up but also responded to “the Belt and Road” of the state, actively faced the difficulty, took the opportunity that the construction of “the Belt and Road” transformed the talents demand mode, cultivated the technology and skill talents for the international rail transit industry, who were indispensable in the local place and recognized by the industry and exchangeable internationally and made contributions to the successful education transformation and upgrade of the school.
