From November 7 to 9, the 2019 International Summit and Exhibition for Vocational Education in China (Xi’an) was performed in the Xi'an Qujiang International Convention & Exhibition Center. On the basis of the unified deployment and arrangement of the Education Department of Henan, an exhibitor group composed of the higher and secondary vocation colleges of Henan was formed. And our college also participated in the activity. Su Dongmin, the secretary of the party committee was invited to attend the summit and made a speech with the theme of “improvement of the international school-running level makes contributions to the construction of ’the Belt and Road’”. And, the school was awarded the prize of “Best Practical Training Cooperation Project” issued by the organizing committee of the summit.
In the exhibition, the school extensively propagandized the school history, achievements and experience in the forms of video, poster and picture album. Among the vocational colleges participating in the exhibition, our college was distinguished and displayed ourselves with the theme of talents cultivation achievements by the scientific and technical community, assigned the team composed of the robot technology and innovation association and the radio association and participating in the National Undergraduate Robot Contest to the exhibition with 9 competition robots and demonstrated several competition projects, such as “flag pulling”, “fortress attack” and robot combat, which were extremely eye-catching and attracting many domestic and foreign exhibitor representatives. Many other colleges took the initiative to exchange with us for and learn the experience of the organization of the robot contest project. The contestants of the BRICS youthful creator contest organized by the summit for the same period also came to the booth and exchanged with the student representatives of the communities of the school.
The summit was guided by the Education Department of Shaanxi and the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training and co-sponsored by the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education and China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. The summit gathered the education experts and enterprise leaders in the domestic and foreign vocational education field, jointly shared the trend, practice and experience of the global vocational education and coped with the future challenge better with the theme of “coordinated talent cultivation with the future-oriented integration of industry and education and practical talents cultivation”. 162 domestic and foreign enterprises and vocational colleges and universities attended the summit. On the day when the opening ceremony was held, about 6,000 person-times participated in the activity.
