On June 3 in Tanzania, Kong Fanshi, the president led the delegation of our college to visit the National Transportation Institute of Tanzania (NIT), discussed with Zakaria Muganniwa, the dean and entered into a letter of intent.
In the symposium, Zakaria Muganniwa, the dean warmly welcomed Kong Fanshi, the president and the delegation and briefly introduced the basic information of the National Transportation Institute. He indicated that the Tanzania government was actively promoting the central standard gauge project. As the first bidding section was going to put into operation in December of this year, the government urgently needed the technicians and management personnel in the relevant respects. He hoped to cooperate with the school to carry out the course construction, assign its teachers to accept the further study in our college and invite the teachers of our college to provide local training, finally comprehensively improving the talents cultivation level, scientific research level and decision-making consultation ability of the school.
Kong Fanshi indicated that our college had rich practical experience in the aspect of international education service and was willing to assign the excellent teachers to carry out various training activities in Tanzania, help Tanzania increase the education and teaching level and continue to write the cooperation chapter between China and Tanzania in the new age as per “the Belt and Road” framework by virtue of the Chinese-African cooperation forum.
After that, the delegation members and the teacher representatives of the National Transportation Institute of Tanzania deeply exchanged with each other, and reached an extensive consensus for student change, course development, further study of teachers, scientific research and academic exchange.
After the letter of intent was signed, Kong Fanshi accepted the interviews of Tanzania Daily, South Africa Television Station, Margiela News, Tanzania Magazine Group, KiKi Live Streaming and Hello News and Blogs and took group photos. Kong Fanshi indicated that in recent years, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College actively participated in the education action plan of “the Belt and Road”, fully cooperated with the Chinese railway to “go out”, assigned the teachers and students to Kenya, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia for professional talents cultivation and technical services, and made contributions to the local economic and social development. In the next stage, the school would continue to expand the opening up to the outside world, plan to establish a branch in Tanzania, cultivate the local talents, improve the teacher team, promote the beneficial development of the rail transit industry and jointly create a community of shared future between China and Africa in the new age.
