On July 12, Pan Dengyu, the vice director of the Education and Skill Office of the Department for International Trade of British, Neil Robertson, the dean of the National Railway Skill Research Institute of British, Chen Yue, the expert and professor of the National Center for Schooling Development Programme of the Ministry of Education, Ma Liang, the director of the UK Sectors Centre of Excellence Ltd and other 7 persons visited our college, and deeply discussed with our college for promoting the construction of the politics, school and enterprise alliance, benchmarking the vocational education standard system, cultivating various international skill talents, and expanding the education service market of “the Belt and Road”. Kong Fanshi, the president, Dong Lisheng and Ni Ju, the vice presidents and the relevant department heads were present in the meeting.
Kong Fanshi pointed out in the discussion that our college mastered the historical advantage of railway major running and the unique regional advantage. In the recent years of construction, the school grasped the opportunity of vocational education reform, accurately positioned and served the reform and development objective of the global technology reform and industry upgrade demand, strengthened the international cooperation, deepened the integration of industry and education, and made obvious achievements in the aspects of connotation and quality construction and high-quality talents cultivation. He hoped that the National Railway Skill Research Institute of British and the UK Sectors Centre of Excellence Ltd could bring the advanced vocational education idea and experience into the school, and jointly carry out the project research and promotion by embracing the international talents cultivation of “the Belt and Road”.
Neil Robertson, the dean of the National Railway Skill Research Institute of British pointed out in the speech that the Chinese railway technology and engineering construction level was world-renowned, and the vocational education of British had a long history. The modern apprenticeship mode and the employment-oriented course setting, teaching mode and integration of industry and education stayed at the forefront of the world. He expected to cooperate with the school, bring the talents cultivation mode, carry out the specific cooperation matters, such as railway talents cultivation and training project, teacher training, and course development, and jointly promote the construction of the “Skills Belt and Road International Talent Hub” project between China and British.

Chen Yue, the expert of the National Center for Schooling Development Programme of the Ministry of Education indicated in the speech that the school had distinguished schooling features as one of the experimental units preferred for the construction of the “Skills Belt and Road International Talent Hub” project. The national vocational education reform was good for the school. He expected the school to deepen the international cooperation with the British research institutions and education institutions, sufficiently gather the resources of the politics, the school, the enterprises and the science, break through the bottleneck of vocational education reform and realize faster and better development by taking the opportunity of the workshop.
On the same day, the guests also visited the College of International Education, the Research Center for Vocational Capacity Reconstruction and the practical training room of the railway major. Neil Robertson, the dean of the National Railway Skill Research Institute of British delivered a special lecture to the teachers of the railway major of the school, named the Road of Integration of Industry and Education in British. The representative of British Pearson Group provided on-site training about the “Teaching Measure for Cooperation Education” and the “Public English Class and View Class” for the English teachers of our college and the teachers of the bilingual major and viewed the public class of the English teachers of our college.
The visit was the further interview after the Chinese-British Rail Transit Talents Cultivation Cooperation Agreement executed by the parties in the early stage, and was of significance for speeding up the implementation of the talents cultivation mode reform, lifelong education system construction, vocational capacity reconstruction research, teacher team building and course resource development and other cooperation projects.
