TheRussian-Chinese Railway UniversitiesJoint Team,established by ZZRVTCand the Ural State University of Railway Transport ,participated in the 2023 Formula Student China (FSC) for the first time from October 11th to 14th. The event was jointly sponsored by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineering, and the Xiangyang Municipal People's Government. The joint team won the third prize at the national leveland attained third place in the business design category.

The competition drew participation from 56 colleges and universities, including 54 undergraduate colleges and universities, 15 double first-class colleges and universities of the 985 Program and 211 Program, and two higher vocational colleges and universities. Nearly 1,400 students competed on the same stage. China and began preparations for the competition in February of this year, jointly selecting team members, providing training and guidance, and conducting simulation exercises over a period of nearly nine months. Finally, 10 people successfully formed a team, marking the first international joint team in the history of the event.
Throughout the preparation and competition phases, Chinese and Russian undergraduates engaged in profound cultural exchanges. The collaborative efforts between both sides, characterized by sincere cooperation, unity, and progress, significantly enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the students of the two schools. This joint competition not only represents a tangible step in implementing the friendship and cooperation between ZZRVTC and Ural State University of Railway Transport but also serves as a practical exploration to deepen humanistic exchanges between Chinese and Russian people. In the next stage, the two universities will work together to further increase the training efforts and improve the training level in order to prepare for more excellent results next year.
Started in 2010, Formula Student China stands as the most prominent automotive engineering competition in the domestic automotive industry, boasting the largest number of participating universities and students and wielding considerable influence. In recent years, FSC has evolved into one of the premier international competitions and has become a representative of the global Formula Student Competition. The competition aims to examine students' comprehensive abilities across five aspects, including design, manufacturing, cost control, business marketing, and communication and coordination. Its overarching goal is to enhance the overall quality of students in related majors and contribute to the development of the engineering and technology industries by nurturing g top-tier talents.
